To install firmware version 3.9.24.53 on the SanDisk Photo Album (SPA), follow these steps carefully:
1. Save the image.bin file on an EMPTY memory card
2. Make sure that the power cable is NOT connected to the SPA.
3. Make sure that all card slots are empty except for the slot with the card that contains the image.bin file. Please be aware that the firmware version on the card will be automatically deleted after installation. If you want to keep the firmware file you should make a copy first.
4. Connect the audio/video cable and the power cable. After the power cable is connected, the SPA turns on automatically. Make sure the TV is on and tuned to the input source that the SPA is connected to.
5. Press the play button (see on-screen instruction).
6. Wait till the LED near the slot stops blinking (takes about one minute) and turn on the device.
7. Check the firmware version by pressing on SETTINGS
& OPTIONS and select Firmware. The version should be 3.9.24.53
8. The settings are back at factory default. You might want to adjust Storage/Grouping and playback settings.
